Junior Academy Fees & Expenses
All of the below fees are estimates and may be higher or lower.
Should your child be offered a roster spot on one of our Jr. Academy rosters, please note there are three types of fees associated with playing in the Florence Soccer Association's Jr. Academy Program. These fees may include:
*Registration fees - these range from $495-$575 per season (FSA U9 though U14 teams play a Fall and a Spring Season). These fees pay for your athletes insurance and registration with the SC Youth Soccer Association, referee fees, licensed coaches salaries, and other expenses such as technology, camera systems, equipment, field maintenance, and lights for our practice fields.
*Uniform kit fees - every new player is required to purchase their uniforms and training kits from Lloyd's Soccer. Uniform kits are mandatory and include two full uniforms (two jerseys, one mandatory pair of shorts, and two pair socks) and two training tees to be worn at practice and often during warm ups. These kits are approximately $250 and are only bought if you are a new player or if FSA has entered into a new uniform season which is every 2 years. Our next new uniform kit will be in Fall 2024. Returning player will not have this expense this season unless they need new items.
*Team fees - these fees are set by each coach and include tournament fees and the coaches expenses for tournaments such as meals, mileage, and hotel accommodations. These will vary from team to team based on the number of tournaments each team attends, but the average team fees ranges from $150 to $225 per player per season. Oftentimes, parents work with club leadership on ways to fundraise for these items to assist in lowering these costs.
